• Debt

  We have been living beyond our means for too long at the expense of our children's future, borrowing from everybody and anybody. Our leaders have no plan to pay the principal on the debt for decades to come, nor do they consider it to be problem which would be equivalent to political malpractice. More

• Defense and National Security

  We cannot bomb our way out of terrorist threats nor can we win the hearts and minds of people by killing them. However, we can reduce that threat and win them over by saving lives and providing opportunities for people in foreign countries to better their lives. When people are educated, healthy, have food on the table, and are working, then they will be able to focus inward and improve their societies rather than blaming us for their problems. More

• Education

  The development of human capital must be the preeminent feature of our education system. We must invest in human capital to maintain freedom and other hallmarks of the American way of life. Education is a key solution to income inequality, which often occurs when skill sets are not matched to the demands of the market. More

• Energy and Environment

  Environmental safety is vital to human survival. Because we are the most powerful economic power in the world, we have an obligation to protect the environment. This also means that we will do everything in our power to prevent environmental damage caused by foolish and reckless wars or corporate greed. More

• Entitlements

  The fundamental issue with Social Security and other entitlement programs is the narrative that must be changed in our public discourse: we can all pay collectively to assist the weakest among us, or we can continue to give benefits to everybody, needy or not, at the expense of our children's future. More

• Foreign Policy

  We must place equal value on all lives and focus on listening and respecting other countries and their leaders, whether they are our friends or foes. Our security lies in the collective security of the world. We must be cognizant that we alone cannot solve all of the problems around the world, nor can we dictate our will to others. More

• Healthcare

  The fundamental issue with the healthcare system is unchecked healthcare costs that are making it unaffordable. One can attribute a major part of the rising costs to the current fee-for-service model and third-party payer model. They need to be replaced with a result-based payment system that emphasizes individual empowerment. More

• Immigration

  We are a country of immigrants who possess the ability and skills to fulfill the social and economic needs of our society with vitality and vibrancy. Such is our uniqueness that no other country can successfully assimilate immigrants as we do. More

• Political Process and Policies

  We have an outdated 19th century political system that appears to be falling apart. A 21st century model will make it leaner, more efficient, and closer to the people, as originally envisioned, and will introduce real competition to electing our political leaders. More

• Science and Technology

  Technology has raised our standard of living considerably and will continue to do so. Therefore, it goes without saying that investment in basic science and technology is a must in order for any nation to have an efficient and productive democratic system. More

• Supreme Court

  Terms for Supreme Court Justices should be limited so that the demographic realities of the 21st century can be reflected in this ever-changing, technologically driven world. After all, the Supreme Court has the final say when it comes to America's laws and social policies. More

• Taxes

  Individuals and corporations under normal circumstances make investment decisions based on the demand for their products and on whether they can make a profit. (Taxes are irrelevant if you do not make any profit.) At the same time, government should refrain from picking winners and losers through its tax policies. More
